    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Manoj Manzil of CPIMLL won in this constituency beating Prabhunath Prasad of JDU by a margin of 48550 votes which was 34.53% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Prabhunath Prasad of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Shivesh Kumar of BJP by a margin of 14704 votes which was 11.26% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Shivesh Kumar of BJP won this seat defeating Suresh Paswan of RJD by a margin of 5249 votes which was 5.68% of the total votes polled for the seat.
