    This constituency covers an approximate area of 342.67 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Bathnaha is: 26°42'54.0"N 85°30'24.1"E.

    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Anil Kumar of BJP won in this constituency beating Sanjay Ram of INC by a margin of 46818 votes which was 27.36% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Dinkar Ram of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Surendra Ram of INC by a margin of 20166 votes which was 13.25% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dinkar Ram of BJP won this seat defeating Lalita Devi of LJP by a margin of 13292 votes which was 11.9% of the total votes polled for the seat.
