    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Kundan Kumar of BJP won in this constituency beating Amita Bhushan of INC by a margin of 4554 votes which was 2.43% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Amita Bhushan of INC was the winner in this seat beating Surendra Mehta of BJP by a margin of 16531 votes which was 9.74% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Surendra Mehta of BJP won this seat defeating Upendra Prasad Singh of LJP by a margin of 19618 votes which was 15.2% of the total votes polled for the seat.
