In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Siddharth Saurav of INC won in this constituency beating Anil Kumar of IND by a margin of 35460 votes which was 19.63% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Siddharth of INC was the winner in this seat beating Anil Kumar of BJP by a margin of 44311 votes which was 25.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Anil Kumar of BJP won this seat defeating Siddharth of LJP by a margin of 2352 votes which was 1.78% of the total votes polled for the seat.
