    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Shambhu Nath Yadav of RJD won in this constituency beating Hulas Pandey of LJP by a margin of 51141 votes which was 27.58% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Shambhu Nath Yadav of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Vivek Thakur of BJP by a margin of 30776 votes which was 17.01% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dilmarni Devi of BJP won this seat defeating Ajit Chaudhary of RJD by a margin of 20342 votes which was 16.15% of the total votes polled for the seat.
