    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Dr. C. N. Gupta of BJP won in this constituency beating Randhir Kumar Singh of RJD by a margin of 6771 votes which was 4.02% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Dr C N Gupta of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Randhir Kumar Singh of RJD by a margin of 11379 votes which was 7.19% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Janardan Singh Sigriwal of BJP won this seat defeating Pramendra Ranjan Singh of RJD by a margin of 35871 votes which was 31.35% of the total votes polled for the seat.
