    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Raj Vanshi Mahto of RJD won in this constituency beating Kumari Manju Varma of JDU by a margin of 40897 votes which was 26.94% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Kumari Manju Verma of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Anil Kumar Chaudhary of LJP by a margin of 29736 votes which was 21.46% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Kumari Manju Verma of JDU won this seat defeating Anil Kumar Chaudhary of LJP by a margin of 1061 votes which was 0.93% of the total votes polled for the seat.
