    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Niranjan Roy of RJD won in this constituency beating Maheshwar Pd Yadav of JDU by a margin of 7566 votes which was 4.17% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Maheshwar Prasad Yadav of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Veena Devi of BJP by a margin of 3501 votes which was 2.12% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Veena Devi of BJP won this seat defeating Maheshwar Prasad Yadav of RJD by a margin of 15987 votes which was 12.32% of the total votes polled for the seat.
