    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Surendra Ram of RJD won in this constituency beating Gyanchand Manjhi of BJP by a margin of 9937 votes which was 5.62% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Muneshwar Chaudhary of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Gyanchand Manjhi of BJP by a margin of 39883 votes which was 25.29% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Gyan Chand Manjhi of BJP won this seat defeating Muneshwar Chaudhary of RJD by a margin of 1787 votes which was 1.72% of the total votes polled for the seat.
