    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Swarna Singh of VSIP won in this constituency beating Afzal Ali Khan of RJD by a margin of 7280 votes which was 5.05% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Madan Sahni of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Vinod Sahni of LJP by a margin of 14062 votes which was 11.68% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dr Izhar Ahmad of JDU won this seat defeating Dr. Mahavir Prasad of RJD by a margin of 10602 votes which was 11.72% of the total votes polled for the seat.
