    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Ram Chandra Prasad of BJP won in this constituency beating Bhola Yadav of RJD by a margin of 10252 votes which was 7.17% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Amar Nath Gami of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Ramesh Choudhary of LJP by a margin of 33231 votes which was 26.98% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Amar Nath Gami of BJP won this seat defeating Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmad Kaifee of LJP by a margin of 6025 votes which was 6.63% of the total votes polled for the seat.
