    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Arun Singh of CPIMLL won in this constituency beating Rajeshwar Raj of BJP by a margin of 18189 votes which was 10.6% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Sanjay Kumar Singh of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Rajeshwar Raj of BJP by a margin of 12119 votes which was 7.91% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Rajeshwar Raj of JDU won this seat defeating Munna Rai of RJD by a margin of 11415 votes which was 8.93% of the total votes polled for the seat.
