    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Shashibhushan Hajari of JDU won in this constituency beating Dr. Ashok Kumar of INC by a margin of 7222 votes which was 5.29% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Shashi Bhusan Hazari of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Dhananjay Kumar Alias Mrinal Paswan of LJP by a margin of 19850 votes which was 17.08% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Shashi Bhushan Hajari of BJP won this seat defeating Ramchandra Paswan of LJP by a margin of 5512 votes which was 6.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
