    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Sanjay Kumar Singh of BJP won in this constituency beating Rakesh Kumar of INC by a margin of 26299 votes which was 13.71% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Raj Kumar Sah of LJP was the winner in this seat beating Vijay Kumar Shukla of JDU by a margin of 20293 votes which was 11.52% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Annu Shukla of JDU won this seat defeating Raj Kumar Sah of IND by a margin of 24145 votes which was 16.92% of the total votes polled for the seat.
