In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Rana Randhir of BJP won in this constituency beating Madan Prasad of RJD by a margin of 5878 votes which was 3.83% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Rana Randhir of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Shivajee Rai of JDU by a margin of 16222 votes which was 11.68% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Shivjee Rai of JDU won this seat defeating Rana Randhir of RJD by a margin of 10122 votes which was 9.86% of the total votes polled for the seat.
