    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Samir Kumar Mahaseth of RJD won in this constituency beating Suman Kumar Mahaseth of VSIP by a margin of 6814 votes which was 3.63% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Samir Kumar Mahaseth of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Ramdeo Mahto of BJP by a margin of 7307 votes which was 4.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ram Deo Mahto of BJP won this seat defeating Naiyar Azam of RJD by a margin of 588 votes which was 0.49% of the total votes polled for the seat.
