    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Mukesh Kumar Raushan of RJD won in this constituency beating Ashma Parveen of JDU by a margin of 13770 votes which was 8% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Tej Pratap Yadav of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Ravindra Ray of HAMS by a margin of 28155 votes which was 18.23% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ravindra Ray of JDU won this seat defeating Jageshwar Ray of RJD by a margin of 21925 votes which was 18.95% of the total votes polled for the seat.
