In 2015, Niranjan Ram of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Sanjay Kumar of INC by a margin of 7581 votes which was 5.39% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Chhedi Paswan of JDU won this seat defeating Niranjan Ram of RJD by a margin of 2525 votes which was 2.26% of the total votes polled for the seat.
