In 2015, Shivchandra Ram of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Ram Nath Raman of LJP by a margin of 15155 votes which was 11.24% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Sanjay Kumar of JDU won this seat defeating Gaurishankar Paswan of LJP by a margin of 10215 votes which was 9.92% of the total votes polled for the seat.
