In 2015, Rahul Tiwary of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Visheshwar Ojha of BJP by a margin of 14570 votes which was 10.04% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Munni Devi of BJP won this seat defeating Dharmpal Singh of RJD by a margin of 8211 votes which was 7.38% of the total votes polled for the seat.
