    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Saud Alam of RJD won in this constituency beating Gopal Kumar Agarwal of IND by a margin of 23887 votes which was 12.4% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Naushad Alam (Tatpauwa) of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Gopal Kumar Agrawal of LJP by a margin of 8087 votes which was 4.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Naushad Alam of LJP won this seat defeating of JDU by a margin of 6963 votes which was 5.42% of the total votes polled for the seat.
