In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Jothi O of DMK won in this constituency beating Dusi K Mohan of AIADMK by a margin of 12271 votes which was 5.77% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Mohan K of AIADMK was the winner in this seat beating Dr. Vishnuprasad M K of INC by a margin of 8527 votes which was 4.14% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Subramanian.N of AIADMK won this seat defeating Vishnu Prasad.M.K. of INC by a margin of 25463 votes which was 14.21% of the total votes polled for the seat.
