Namakkal (M), Periyapatti (CT) and Mohanur (TP).

This constituency covers an approximate area of 556 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Namakkal is: 11°14'26.9"N 78°08'51.0"E.

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Ramalingam P of DMK won in this constituency beating Baskar K P P of AIADMK by a margin of 27861 votes which was 13.56% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Baskar. K.P.P of AIADMK was the winner in this seat beating Chezhian. R of INC by a margin of 13534 votes which was 6.96% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Baskar.K.P.P. of AIADMK won this seat defeating Devarasan.R. of KNMK by a margin of 35855 votes which was 21.13% of the total votes polled for the seat.
