    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Surendra Mehata of BJP won in this constituency beating Abdhesh Kumar Rai of CPI by a margin of 484 votes which was 0.27% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ramdeo Rai of INC was the winner in this seat beating Arvind Kumar Singh of LJP by a margin of 36931 votes which was 22.88% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Abdhesh Kumar Rai of CPI won this seat defeating Arvind Kumar Singh of IND by a margin of 12087 votes which was 9.3% of the total votes polled for the seat.
