In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Mukesh Kumar Yadav of RJD won in this constituency beating Dr. Ranju Geeta of JDU by a margin of 2704 votes which was 1.52% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Dr Ranju Geeta of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Rekha Kumari of BLSP by a margin of 16946 votes which was 10.92% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ranju Geeta of JDU won this seat defeating Md. Anwarul Haque of RJD by a margin of 3420 votes which was 2.95% of the total votes polled for the seat.
