    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Aniruddh Kumar of RJD won in this constituency beating Ranvijay Singh of BJP by a margin of 20672 votes which was 12.05% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ranvijay Singh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Aniruddh Kumar of RJD by a margin of 7902 votes which was 5.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Aniruddh Kumar of RJD won this seat defeating Vinode Yadav of BJP by a margin of 14745 votes which was 13.02% of the total votes polled for the seat.
