    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Kedar Nath Singh of RJD won in this constituency beating Virendra Kumar Ojha of VSIP by a margin of 27789 votes which was 16.51% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Kedar Nath Singh of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Tarkeshwar Singh of BJP by a margin of 15951 votes which was 10.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency.
