    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Ram Narayan Mandal of BJP won in this constituency beating Javed Iqbal Ansari of RJD by a margin of 16828 votes which was 10.57% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ram Narayan Mandal of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Zafrul Hoda of RJD by a margin of 3730 votes which was 2.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Javed Iqbal Ansari of RJD won this seat defeating Ram Narayan Mandal of BJP by a margin of 2410 votes which was 2.26% of the total votes polled for the seat.
