In 2015, Nitin Naveen of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Kumar Ashish of INC by a margin of 39767 votes which was 27.59% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Nitin Nabin of BJP won this seat defeating Binod Kumar Srivastava of RJD by a margin of 60840 votes which was 55.66% of the total votes polled for the seat.
