    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Renu Devi of BJP won in this constituency beating Madan Mohan Tiwari of INC by a margin of 18079 votes which was 11.3% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Madan Mohan Tiwari of INC was the winner in this seat beating Renu Devi of BJP by a margin of 2320 votes which was 1.57% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Renu Devi of BJP won this seat defeating Anil Kumar Jha of IND by a margin of 28789 votes which was 27.12% of the total votes polled for the seat.
