In 2015, Niraj Kumar Singh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Jahur Alam of RJD by a margin of 9292 votes which was 5.37% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Neeraj Kumar Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Akeel Ahmad of RJD by a margin of 23730 votes which was 17.36% of the total votes polled for the seat.
