    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Rit Lal Ray of RJD won in this constituency beating Asha Devi of BJP by a margin of 15924 votes which was 8.58% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Asha Devi of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Raj Kishor Yadav of RJD by a margin of 5209 votes which was 3.12% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Asha Devi of BJP won this seat defeating Rit Lal Ray of IND by a margin of 17919 votes which was 14.33% of the total votes polled for the seat.
