    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Vijay Kumar Mandal of RJD won in this constituency beating Rajendra Prasad Singh of LJP by a margin of 8228 votes which was 4.83% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Jai Kumar Singh of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Rajendra Prasad Singh of BJP by a margin of 2691 votes which was 1.79% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Jay Kumar Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Sita Sundari Devi of RJD by a margin of 16610 votes which was 13.81% of the total votes polled for the seat.
