    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Rakesh Kumar Roushan of RJD won in this constituency beating Chandra Sen Prasad of JDU by a margin of 3698 votes which was 2.26% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Chandrasen Prasad of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Birendra Gope of BJP by a margin of 22602 votes which was 15.75% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Rajib Ranjan of JDU won this seat defeating Virendra Gop of RJD by a margin of 23808 votes which was 20.81% of the total votes polled for the seat.
