    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Santosh Kumar Mishra of INC won in this constituency beating Bashisth Singh of JDU by a margin of 4083 votes which was 2.1% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Bashisht Singh of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Birendra Kumar Singh of BLSP by a margin of 12907 votes which was 7.26% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ram Dhani Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Shiv Shankar Singh of LJP by a margin of 13197 votes which was 8.81% of the total votes polled for the seat.
