    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Shalini Mishra of JDU won in this constituency beating Santosh Kushwha of RJD by a margin of 9227 votes which was 6.1% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Dr Rajesh Kumar of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Rajendra Prasad Gupta of BJP by a margin of 15947 votes which was 12.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Sachindra Pd Singh of BJP won this seat defeating Ram Saran Pd. Yadav of CPI by a margin of 11683 votes which was 12.37% of the total votes polled for the seat.
