    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Kavita Devi of BJP won in this constituency beating Punam Kumari Alias Punam Paswan of INC by a margin of 28943 votes which was 14.75% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Punam Kumari Alias Punam Paswan of INC was the winner in this seat beating Mahesh Paswan of BJP by a margin of 5426 votes which was 3.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Mahesh Paswan of BJP won this seat defeating of INC by a margin of 52444 votes which was 40.83% of the total votes polled for the seat.
