    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Bharat Bhushan Mandal of RJD won in this constituency beating Lakshmeshwar Ray of JDU by a margin of 10077 votes which was 4.82% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Lakshmeshwar Roy of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Pramod Kumar Priyedarshi of BJP by a margin of 23833 votes which was 13.01% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Hari Prasad Sah of JDU won this seat defeating Chitaranjan Prasad Yadav of RJD by a margin of 17566 votes which was 12.79% of the total votes polled for the seat.
