    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Vijay Shanker Dubey of INC won in this constituency beating Hem Narayan Sah of JDU by a margin of 1976 votes which was 1.22% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Hem Narayan Sah of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Kumar Deo Ranjan Singh of BJP by a margin of 20292 votes which was 13.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Damodar Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Manik Chand Rai of RJD by a margin of 20000 votes which was 18.01% of the total votes polled for the seat.
