    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Bhai Virendra of RJD won in this constituency beating Nikhil Anand of BJP by a margin of 32917 votes which was 16.57% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Bhai Virendra of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Shrikant Nirala of BJP by a margin of 22828 votes which was 12.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency.
