    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Ashok Kumar Singh of BJP won in this constituency beating Shankar Prasad of IND by a margin of 14698 votes which was 7.77% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ashok Kumar Singh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Shankar Prasad of RJD by a margin of 13539 votes which was 8.11% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ashok Kumar Singh of BJP won this seat defeating Mithilesh Prasad Yadav of RJD by a margin of 19027 votes which was 15.33% of the total votes polled for the seat.
