    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Pankaj Kumar Mishra of JDU won in this constituency beating Mangita Devi of RJD by a margin of 24629 votes which was 16.14% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Mangita Devi of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Pankaj Kumar Mishra of BLSP by a margin of 14110 votes which was 10.26% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Guddi Devi of JDU won this seat defeating Ram Shatrughan Rai of RJD by a margin of 10759 votes which was 9.87% of the total votes polled for the seat.
