    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Alok Ranjan of BJP won in this constituency beating Lovely Anand of RJD by a margin of 19679 votes which was 8.67% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Arun Kumar of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Alok Ranjan of BJP by a margin of 39206 votes which was 20.21% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Alok Ranjan of BJP won this seat defeating Arun Kumar of RJD by a margin of 7979 votes which was 5.26% of the total votes polled for the seat.
