    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Rajesh Kumar Gupta of RJD won in this constituency beating Ashok Kumar of JDU by a margin of 26423 votes which was 14.76% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ashok Kumar of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Jawahar Prasad of BJP by a margin of 19612 votes which was 11.27% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Jawahar Prasad of BJP won this seat defeating Dr. Ashok Kumar of RJD by a margin of 5411 votes which was 3.74% of the total votes polled for the seat.
