    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Yusuf Salahuddin of RJD won in this constituency beating Mukesh Sahani of VSIP by a margin of 1759 votes which was 0.89% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Dinesh Chandra Yadav of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Yusuf Salahuddin of LJP by a margin of 37806 votes which was 22.88% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dr Arun Kumar of JDU won this seat defeating Choudhry Mehboob Ali Kaisar of INC by a margin of 18842 votes which was 14.32% of the total votes polled for the seat.
