    In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Alok Kumar Mehta of RJD won in this constituency beating Sheel Kumar Roy of BJP by a margin of 23268 votes which was 12.53% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Alok Kumar Mehta of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Kumar Anant of BLSP by a margin of 47460 votes which was 29.01% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Durga Prasad Singh of RJD won this seat defeating Ram Lakhan Mahto of JDU by a margin of 13031 votes which was 9.96% of the total votes polled for the seat.
